You May Say I’m a Dreamer

私は夢を見ているとあなたは思うかもしれない, 2019

Live Performance (Improv #2)

Over the last few months, I dreamt of millions of Hong Kongers going out to the street to protest for their future. I dreamt of barricades as sculptures. I dreamt light shows performed by laser pointers. I dreamt of visual designs in forms of graffitis and memo notes. I think those are art: art which is not only aesthetically powerful, but also socially-engaging, bringing millions of Hong Kongers together. I sometimes felt vulnerable, because I realized what I have been doing, so-called art, is not meaningful during this social crisis.  How can I contribute more? And how can I be more courageous and determined to fight, to sacrifice and to dream with my fellows?
