Conversation Errors

Live Performance (Improv #3)

She speaks. He listens. He copies, and she listens to his copies. Are they having a conversation?

I sound. I listen to my sounds. You listen to the sounds I am listening to, but you can’t sound. Are we having a conversation error?

Conversation Errors interrogates various models of conversation (or failing conversation). We utilize languages as tools to express personal feelings and address objective truths. We can also treat languages as a pure sonic phenomenon that carries abstract and symbolic meanings. How much we are willing to listen determines how much we are willing to achieve conversations. What pathetic is that we don’t have the power and possibility to achieve conversations from the beginning, as what we hear and how we listen are already dictated by the autocracy.
