It was a rainly season during composing this piece, and there were always a few days of rain in a week. I often enjoy seeing the rainscape inside an enclosed room with windows shut. Though there are walls of water outside, I can barely hear the raindrops. The heavy rainfall sounds like a drizzle, which is fascinating.

I depicted the atmosphere of  the misty and intoxicating rainscape in the music, also to express my perception of rain. I quoted a motif from Toru Takemitsu’s Rain Spell, as an homage to the mastero.
